The
Result
Architecturally, the building follows a compact, nearly square footprint, developed from economic and ecological considerations. The structure is executed in precast reinforced concrete construction, forming an optimized building volume that is articulated into single- and two-storey flat-roofed volumes of varying heights.
This articulation reduces the apparent scale of the building and allows it to integrate harmoniously into the village-scale context. Overall, the project embodies a future-oriented emergency facility that combines operational efficiency, economic construction, and architectural clarity, while strengthening the civic presence of the fire and rescue services within the municipality of Rommerskirchen.
